RM: This is for the week ending today. I hope to get next week's list
out tonight or tomorrow. My mom was formally diagnosed with Alzheimer's
disease this week, and I have been working on arranging overnight
coverage by health care aides, as she's had a number of falls recently
and her doctor recommends 24/7 observation if possible.

Sorry to hear that Robin. I know how tough it can be when our parents
end up needing full time care even if they fully understand why. In
your mom's case I can imagine there are times where she won't
understand why she has these strangers around her. :(

I suppose I'll get around to watching this at some point, but none of
the comments in this newsgroup are making me rush to do so.

Allow me to be the first to say NO DON’T DO IT RUN RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!!

So what went wrong with it? Did the character suck in the comics or
did the writers of the show head off in a different direction that
didn't work for the viewers. I know the character was never that
popular in the comics so that wasn't a good basis for a show.
That said I'll have to at least sample it as it's in my wheelhouse
(superhero Genre, Marvel).

It has nothing to do with the comic (which I liked) beyond a few character
names. They had actually pretty much appropriated the comic storyline for
the Spider-Man movie where he has the iron spider suit with the AI in it.
So instead, they came up with nothing but despicable people doing
despicable things, and finding despicable ends.

Hmm, I get the writer probably thought they had something unique to
say but how did anyone else think this was a good idea?
