I watched a documentary called "What Erectus Saw: Extinct Animals
Encountered by Homo Erectus (ft. ExtinctZoo)", an overview of animals
alive during the time of homo erectus. It was a joint project of North
02, who focuses on human prehistory, and ExtinctZoo, who focuses on
general prehistory.

Freakin' awesome. I recommend it highly to anyone with an interest in
this area. The animals were still gigantic then. There is evidence that
erectus could bring down prehistoric elephants which were literally
larger than T-rex or triceratops. I'm really into the relatively recent
discoveries about them. They had a whole civilization, lasting for 1.75
million years, and they left barely a mark.

I've been meaning to watch this one for a while, and I'm glad I did.

I then went over to Extinct Zoo's channel and chose "The Discoveries
That Prove Humans Are Absolutely Insane." This one features prehistoric
people who apparently led unusual lives. One example is "the Ancient
Terminator," who had a metal arm and stabbed so many people that his arm
bones shifted, as well as biting a whole lot of things. There was also
the tribe which killed every member of another tribe, butchered and
cooked them inside their own homes, then stuck around long enough to
crap repeatedly in their pots/pans and on their hearths. Sounds like
quite a grudge.

I also watched a movie, Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs. It's a pastiche
loosely based on Snow White and incorporating elements from other fairy
tales. In this version, neither Snow nor the queen is naturally
beautiful, but the queen has those red shoes from another tale to turn
her beautiful. For her safety, Snow breaks the magic mirror and flees
with both that and the shoes. She is then aided by a group of incredibly
shallow knights who got turned into little green creatures for being so
shallow. If several fairy tales and the first Shrek movie went into a
blender, this movie would be the resulting smoothie.

There were more ponies during insomnia, but I'm not going to recap them
since they mostly weren't very good. I think I've reached the point
where the showrunners ran short on ideas. I'll still finish it, but S7
might be a good point to stop watching if I ever rewatch.
