I'd approve thoughtful actions not borne of bogus moral superiority.

There's nothing bogus about it. Western American culture is objectively
superior to a culture that rewards
blowing children to smithereens, throws gay people off high buildings, and
stones women to death for having had the bad luck to be gang-raped.
