I'm betting ticket sales were awful - the Steve Miller Band wasn't very good in their heyday and it's been decades since then so who's going to lay out hundreds of dollars a ticket to see them? - but rather than admit they were past their "best before date", they decided to go out with some serious virtue-signalling about "climate change".

She was an A student but found herself punished for her choice of
clothing - along with other students - and her parents were called to
pick her up early.

Her parents were not at all happy and her community was very agitated as
well. The school gave an after-the-fact "apology" where they promised to
reconsider how the event was run the next year. I'll believe that when I
see it!
I’ve seen that and it wasn’t clear to me if maybe she got punished under a
flag rule. When I was her age, it was illegal to wear clothing made from
the American flag.
wear clothing containing the British flag. If it is, there are millions
of T-shirts that are in violation of that law. I've seen plenty of
T-shirts celebrating one British band or another over the years that
featured a British flag worn proudly by fans of the band in question.

The Steve Miller Band has canceled all dates for its 2025 North American tour
due to the general trend of climate change-induced weather disasters:
"The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes,
hurricanes, and massive forest fires make these risks for you, our audience,
the band, and the crew unacceptable."
So basically the band has effectively played their last concert and retired
because there's never going to be day in the future where storms and wildfires
don't exist, even if 'climate change' was somehow solved.'
But it's not a cult...
