The problem in the UK (and Canada) is not so much "free speech" but
rather whether or not a particular type of speech is OK depending on
what group the observer thinks you belong to.

I don't know what you are talking about. If speech may be censored
depending on what the listener believes, then that's not freedom of
speech in American law and something the UK and Canada both lack.

On the other hand, at least 2 Jewish Canadian MPs are fighting to have
Canada Immigration deny Bob Vylan an entry visa after his UK "Death
deth to the IDF" rant in Britain. (I happen to agree with them as it's
not legal in Canada to call for the death of another person)
