 No, I'm saying that the 'progressive' leftists running the school want to
pretend that Britain doesn't have a culture or at least not one worth
celebrating.
 

I expect the people organizing the event would be delighted if the British-born whites wore clothes demonstrating their contempt for slavery and colonialism and glossed over the fact that Britain led the fight against slavery and spent staggering amounts of many and many lives in that effort. Clothes with rainbow motifs would probably win the students some brownie points too.
