North Korea and the Berlin Wall would be two examples where people are / were forced to stay in one place, although a few still managed to escape and some died trying. Some people with criminal records often have limited choices due to other countries not allowing them in.
On the flip side, many people have of course been forced to leave where they lived due to various reasons (wars, famines, etc.).
There have were two newspaper stories llast week. First, Ellen DeGeneres saying how the UK is great (having left the US because of Trump). The second was a UK billionaire who is selling up and leaving because the UK is such a mess. Two polar opposite views of the same country. Obviously you can't please all the people all the time.  :-)
