MST3K: Rocketship X-M at Rifftrax, wasn't this banned by copyright?

So the MST3K Rocketship X-M episode is here at Rifftrax as a
paid download:

I understand this to be part of the dozens of episodes
banned by copyright.  Does this download mean that this,
if not the others, will be properly released on DVD?
The bootleg DVD-rs of this and the other banned episodes
were transferred from home VHS recordings, very badly
because they are pixelated which can only occur after
they were copied from VHS, because analog sources
never pixelate unless VHS were used to copy a pixelated
source.  You need a high bit rate to copy VHS, and the
noisier the tape the higher the bit rate is needed to
replicate the tape in digital form.
