I'm not really an active member here anymore, so I don't think I have a
vote. But I will offer a thought.
I think we have all known each other too long to have "rules" about what
we can say. The point of rules is establishing a culture, and no
newcomers are coming in who will need to have the group explained to
them.
Perhaps, after 30+ years, we are seeing a tendency for our conversation
topics to spread. But there will also be a countervailing tendency, that
the topics we all have in common -- the topics that bought us here --
will always end up being the most fruitful.
The two opposing tendencies will find an equilibrium. Trust where
equilibrium lands.
