He had 8 other records on the Billboard Pop charts, but they all peaked
pretty low. After reading your post I looked him up in Whitburn and
then I listened to his 1960 version of "You Don't Know Me," his first
record to chart. Bruce would hate it because it has a lot of
violins--too much even for me--but Lenny Welch was carving out a niche
for himself as a pop singer with a distinctly soulful voice.

Cadence. He came by the Avondale Club on one of our Sunday afternoon
gigs. A really nice fellow as i recall.
Where was that club?
I see one now in the UK and one in Arizona.
