I hated that record, but I admit to buying "Lonely Boy" when I was 11.
Not only that, but I also listened to the flip side, a very maudlin
ballad called "Your Love." Oh God, I'm so ashamed.
Only "Rock Around The Clock" sold more singles in the UK in the 1950's
than "Diana" which occupies 2nd place in such sales.
Of course this means the Anka #1 hit sold more here than any Elvis
single from the period
