I like my favorite Donovan record much more than I like my favorite

I very much dislike his music but I do know his recording history. He
was pretty much signed up with Pye Records over here throughout but I
remember his stuff appearing on Hickory at first in the US (and "Catch
The Wind" was his debut single here too) but his US distribution
switched to Epic in 1967.
It was 1966.
By the way, the single release of "Catch The Wind" is no good. Besides
being an edit of the full track, it was also polished up to sound more
mainstream and less folky. It's useless as far as I am concerned. You
need to play it from one of the Hickey albums that it is on.
