I need a 60K resistor and have lots of 10K 1206-size quad r-packs onthe board, but I just can't make myself draw six resistors in series.

It's ok. They dont always solder down properly.
You know there is a 60.4k value?. That's within 1%.

Cheers
I don't think we have trouble soldering them. But the game is to
minimize the number of diferent parts on the BOM, namely the number of
feeders that have to be loaded on the pick-and-place.
This particular resistor sets the frequency of a little buck switcher,
which isn't very critical.
