 So what did this "Mama se" operation exactly do? Whatever it was, Israeli government stopped planning about retaliation after Mama se was carried out.
 If you ask me, Mama se has more to do with Johnny Mathis than to Israeli retaliation against Iran :)
 Speaking of johnny mathis, he's 90 years old and still conducted a live show last Christmas. No background voice or anything. With his own 90 year old voice! Wasn't very accurate and in tune, but it was still half and half that same famous voice from 1960s. He had studied to be a classical music singer, but somehow ended up with soft pop music. Anyway, he's still kicking!
  

About this Mama se operation I can only imagine one scenario that would make any sense. Everything else about it is ridiculous and foolish and nothing but bullshit.
And that scenario would be, Americans probably kept telling Israeli military that they lose if they attack, and the latter kept saying with their huge Sparrow air to ground missiles they could annihilate any defense system Iran has bought or built in there. Then Americans may at last allowed Israeli military to test that claim with just one relatively unimportant target in Iran. i.e., that of the radar unit of s300 system of Esfahan first, and only if successful, carry out a real retaliation.
So Israelis agree to it and let loose three Sparrows from the sky over Iraq toward Esfahan, and at the same time had their 5th column (Bahais and Jews in Iran) fly tens of toy quadcopters with grenades attached to them to use as suicide drones just to bring enough confusion as well as hopefully some damage to that radar system so it cannot detect the oncoming Sparrows.
But the one surviving Sparrow reaching Esfahan gets promptly detected by the s300 system and shot in the air the explosion sound of it everybody heard in Esfahan, and these drones all get hit rapidly by emp devices and explode in the air (as several videos showed it after people began recording when they heard the explosion), and another two Sparrows were intercepted by either Esfahan or Kermanshah air defense systems, whose explosions again were heard by people in Kermanshah.
Same fate for Tabriz air defense, except it may have not been a Sparrow that came from a base in Azerbaijan Republic.
Then after seeing that even their much publicized and advertised Sparrow missiles, which were never tested in action before, could not do literally anything in Iran, Israelis must've agreed to stop thinking about retaliating against Iran and turned whatever that had been done into a "response" via any manner of lies and propaganda that they had in their disposal, fully backed by Americans. Another unsuccessful attempt.
This is the only scenario that makes sense.
