For those newsreader nuts I add that the inability to sense the quote from someone else and placing it under the poster's own name instead, is a bug that persists to exist and hasn't been fixed.
If you highlight a piece of text from what you previously quoted from someone else, and make a "followup" addressing that piece only, Thunderbird places the text under your own name as if it was you who posted it earlier. It doesn't sense the original poster of it.
Poor programming by one or more of the Code Monkeys who develop Thunderbird. You monkeys are everywhere! This is USA after all.
