Gha'em 100 rocket flawlessly placed a research satellite today in the orbit.
I think the days of contemplating to ask Russians to place Iranian satellites in orbit are over. Not only it's not needed, it is also almost 20 times cheaper to do it with Gha'em.
This Gha'em 100 isn't even the most updated version of that line of rockets. They're insistance to use Gha'em 100 was just to prove that version by itself is capable of doing the job without any issues.
Later this year they are going to place a sensitive military satellite in orbit, using an upgraded rocket Gha'em 105. The 105 is "in every respect" more advanced, compared with 100, they say. But it hasn't been tested yet. So we'll see.
Other versions of Gha'em are to deliver nukes to long range targets. There are a few seemingly minor differences between them and the rockets to launch satellites.
Although someone else's claim for which I have no sources to ckeck, somebody in an Iranian Telegram channel said Iran will test her first hydrogen bomb not that far from shores of Israel, on the mediterranean sea... :-)
I like to see that! And when I read that, it made my day :)
