smartphones in cars

All cars should have a proper built-in nook in the dash, which would securely hold a a smartphone to use as a navigator.
It should be in a place, easy for the driver to see, and where it wont be dazzeled by the sun, or affected by the heating system.
The various devices which attach the smartphone to the windscreen etc, allow the smartphone to be dazzeled by the sun and affected by the heating system.
