There's a new study from Poland. In a finding that could only
rival "Water is wet" is shock value, researching have found a
link between social media and narcissism!  The more you scroll,
the more narcissistic you are!
Well. We all knew this. I've even gone as far as to suggest
that one way we might end social unrest is to confiscate &
shred phones. "Remove narcissism," I argued, "And see just
how popular protests are not."
We live within a race to the bottom where the algorithm dictates
what you read and think you know, and a need to be seen and
accumulate "Likes" dictates what you post.
In RealLife(tm) I've noticed this, spoke of this often. I've
complained about people all over Facebook, always taking the
most popular position on issues they could not possibly
comprehend.
The roomie has done it too, complained about people who seem
to live on Facebook...
We here on usenet appear to be polar opposites! We're on the
low rent corner of the internet, where others dare not to
tread...
There's so few of us left!
