Re: register sets

I am wondering if there is a way to tag each register individually with the process id (app id) and involve the register renamer such that there is no need to save / restore the register context. In the same manner that the process id tag in a TLB works. A five bit appid is being used in the current system.
Changed pace to working on the OS instead of ISAs.
