Do you know it it is possible to define a mime type for gemini
protocol, using an specific tool for showing gemini links? How it
should be done?

MIME types apply to content, not protocols. The gemini protocol can be
used to serve multiple MIME types (including e.g. image/jpeg and
audio/mp3).
I suspected that, but thank you for your explication.
Does that help?
I'd like to use different applications for opening gemini or http protocols
with generic xdg-open, using mime types. But, as you say, it seems not
possible, so I am sad and small again :)
