Same here! Apologies for responding to an old thread.

Over the past few days, my interest in Gemini and the Usenet flared up
again and I stumbled across some blog posts about using Hugo to create
.gmi files from the Markdowns already written for regular blogs.
 I'd like to know which software you are using to maintain your
capsules. Do you write them in nano/vim/etc. or do you use speciallized
apps?

I've been using gempost (https://github.com/justlark/gempost) for my gemlog. It's nothing fancy, I just write gemtext. There's a small auto-generated yaml file with some metadata that goes along with each post, and a space for static content.
I picked it at random from the available static content generators I could find when I started my capsule, no specific reason why I picked this apart from the language it was written in (I didn't want to get anything go based).
