Any chance of using utf8 rather than whatever the hell encoding
this is.

Thats definately not uft8. Seems something is converting it to quoted
printable encoding.
 

Message headers indicated that it is UTF-8 encoded as quoted printable.
I don't know (and don't want to know) too much about usenet mechanics,
but it seems to me that decent newsreader should decode it back into
UTF-8.
