Hi,
Debian Linux seems to love Python 3.7 - that is shown by apt-get list, and it's installed on my Debian Server.
But I need at least Python 3.8
Is there a repository which I can give to apt to get Python 3.8 or later?
Or do I really have to install and compile these versions manually? I'm not a friend of things so deep in the system...
My Debian 12 VM has python 3.11. You must have a very old version of Debian. On some VMs (not Debian, I think) I have had other Python versions alongside of the system's, e.g., 3.11 and 3.12. I didn't compile them myself. You will have to search for a repository with the right package. But upgrade your system first!
