ANNOUNCE: xdgicons

I am pleased to announce the publication of the xdgicons package.
This package is intended to locate image files for icons following the XDG Icon Theme Specification. This is the standard method for finding icons on the linux desktop. Using it will improve the way Tcl/Tk applications fit in with the other applications on the linux desktop.
Configuration options are available to control which base directories and themes to search, as well as the desired image formats and scaling factor (for use with high density displays).
Even though the package is geared toward linux, it can be used on other platforms if some icon theme compatible with the XDG specification is included in the application or otherwise available on the platform. This would still provide the benefit of easily picking icons that match the screen resolution.
The package is hosted on chiselapp.
