Hello all,

I've seen in the source code that tcl/tk has entered the alpha stage for
release 9.1. I've looked for a planned or just probable release date for
the final v9.1, but I couldn't find anything. I can see that there is
still work being done on the code, so I guess it will still take some
time, but I wanted to know if there was anything planned, or at least a
general idea of how long it will take before the actual release. We have
applications that we'd like to port to tcl/tk 9, but version 9.0.1 had
quite a few bugs that prevented us from using it. The bugs have been
corrected - many thanks to everybody involved for that! -, but we'd prefer
basing our code on an "official" version, and not a development one.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
No problem, if you know where to look:

Take care,

Very interesting; thanks Harald.
Two follow-up questions:
i) When Tip 713 is updated, will it show the updated plan for "Tcl 8.6, 9.0 patches and leadup to Tcl 9.1.0", or will it be the plan for the next couple of years? If it's the first, then is there a two-year plan and if so where is it?
ii) Is there a list of new features for 9.1, and if so, where is it?
Many thanks,
Alan
