Yesterday was my halfish-workday, and I made sure I was out of there as soon as I was done! So I went home, rested, and watched Y&R and "Reacher"!:
soaps: Y&R - Just one episode from a week or two ago - in this one Traci lays out her theory to Jack that Dr. Alan: 1) was behind the kidnapping and captivity of Filis[sic!] and Sharon, and 2) isn't really "Dr. Alan", but is his EVOL! twin whom everybody thought was dead!! Jack is forced to agree that they need to look into the possibility. Meanwhile, Diane has an "encounter" with Filis[sic!], and Filis becomes so unhinged by it that Diane is concerned enough to tell Billy to go check on Filis. Billy seems to calm down Filis[sic!], until he reveals that he is conspiring with "Aristotle Dumas" (an obvious "pen name"!!) to take back Chancellor from Victor and Nikki - Filis flips her lid!
Reacher (Prime) - Episodes #3.3 & #3.4.
In episode #3.3, Reacher continues his brutal murder spree! First he ropes Sonya Cassidy's Agent Duffy into helping dispose of Angel Doll's body (whom Reacher brutally killed in ep. #3.2!), and weirdly she seems to have no problem with Reacher's wanton killing and body disposal! Then they get surprised by two more trucking thugs, and Reacher heartlessly disposes of them too! - At least this one can sort of be argued to be "self-defense", despite Reacher and Duffy ambushing them first! Later, Reacher brutally beats up some town "toughs" who bully Anthony Michael Hall's kid. By the end of the episode, Reacher callously executes Hall's "Number Two" guy in cold blood, so that he can take over the role as #2!!
I didn't care for ep. #3.4, "Dominique", nearly as much, as it is nearly 100% "flashback" episode, which pencils in Reacher's desire for revenge against Brian Tee's character. Meh.
And, on this front, "color-blind" casting really only works if you are willing to *change* character names - but every time they say the name of Brian Tee's character, "Xavier Quinn", it takes me right out of the scene... :|
Finally, I played around with the AMC+ app, which I just got access to thanks to Spectrum, for the first time - but I've covered that in a separate post to the 'Hallelujah! Spectrum Finally Offers AMC+ (and Peacock)' thread...
