Thanks Andy
I forgot that.
The latest version has not shown that glitch so far ??
For the next time you have a similar problem ('lost' app):
Assuming you installed the app from the (Google) Play Store (or Google
Play website) and the app is indeed 'lost', i.e. no longer in the list
of apps in Settings:
Play Store app -> your 'avatar' in the upper-right corner -> Manage
apps & device -> 'Manage' tab -> change left-hand drop down menu from
'This device' to 'Not installed'.
This will list all the apps which were installed for the current
Google *Account* (not neccessarily this *device*), but which are not/
no-longer installed on this device. Browse the list to find your 'lost'
app and re-install it.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, Frank
Part of the problem was that I forgot the 'floating' bit so couldn't
find it in the Play Store list.
I meant, go through the *whole* list until you find/recognize "This is
the one!". So don't jump to the apps starting with 'n' (for 'notes').
For example one of my first ones is "Acapela TTS Voices", so if I
don't remember the 'Acapela' bit and start looking at the 'T' (for TTS,
Text-To-Speech), I won't find/see it.
I must be newer version than the one I deleted as it has more bells and
whistles than before and no pink circles (yet)
