As I said already, I downloaded it (many times) & it's always free for me.

But since some features are only available in the paid version, and
because you profess intimacy with the app and developer, seems you
should know how the paid version is obtained.

Are there features in the app you got that note they require payment?  I
have some apps where they have an option to hide the Pro/paid features,
but some just show all features with a mention on the payware features.
