When someone calls me on my Tracfone, the first couple rings are at a
low volume.
Tried a different ring tone? There are ring tones on my phone I do not
use because they start soft to grow louder. I won't hear the first soft
rings, so I have less time to answer the phone. Instead I use an
always-loud ring tone.
I do the reverse. There is a setting that makes the ringing start soft,
then increase. That way, if I'm near, it doesn't make me jump.
Perhaps divulge where is the setting you found since it appears that is
for what the OP is hunting. Might be an OS version dependent feature,
so both you and OP should mention that. I have an old Android (8.0.0),
and there is not graduate volume setting, so I would have to use a
ringtone that itself increases it volume as it gets played.
