People would assume that WiFi is working at home and do a big download, and later have a surprise with the invoice.
IME most mobiles have separate enable/disable Wi-Fi and enable/disable mobile data.
When both are enabled Wi-Fi is supposed to be preferred, falling back to mobile data when there is no Wi-Fi.
However when there is poor Wi-Fi the result is often rather indeterminate.
