On the topic of wiping out your phone, were you aware resets don't work?
I'm posting this with an Amazon Fire tablet. When I factory reset it, it
always remembers the name I first gave it: HD10-2 (because it's the second
of my 10 inchers). I often wondered if it was remembered by the reset
tablet or by Amazon remotely who recognized the serial# and applied the
name when rebooted. And then of course I wondered what else does Amazon
remember... 8-O
I have installed the Google Play Store on the tablet (I'm surprised Amazon
lets me do it) which is where I got this newsreader and most of my other
Android apps since the Amazon AppStore sucks. Anyway, my Google stuff (like
passwords and 2FA authorizations) do get erased in a reset...I think... 8-O
