The problem is most people think it purports to reveal Truth, but it doesn't. It is however and interesting study of Lies.

Another advantage is familiarity with arguments and lines of reasoning. If I had a penny for every time some technologist thought that he came up with a brand new argument, for it only to turn out that it was discussed 1000 years ago, I'd be rich!
