No, the October Revolution started on 25 October just like Christmas in
Russia is 25 December even though you might think it's January.
Late September is more conducive to drinking beer than October. The local
city has a low rent one day thing called Germanfest. For years it was on
Labor Day weekend, the day before the first Monday in September, not a
really great time slot. This year it is on 6 October so we'll see how that
works out.
