Emacs is a text editor. Any other text editor can do
a similar job.
The "good" comes with all the extra versatility that can
be had within the program if one would actually need and
desire that versatility.
I don't really need all that extra stuff but others may
need it or want it.
Maybe if took the time to learn Emacs I too would want
its capabilities.
But, for now, I'll stick to simpler text editors.
