Packet Writing. GNU/Linux Yes. Microslop Fuck No.

Since I am on the topic of optical media, let's consider "packet
writing," which allows a DVD+/-/RAM optical disk to be used as sort
of a huge floppy disk, i.e. one can read and write sectors over and over.

GNU/Linux has had this capability for a LONG time:
