Linux From Scratch (LFS) is still alive and kicking after a long, long, long

I have learned so much from LFS and I am truly grateful.  Without LFS
I would probably be just another distro lackey like all the assholes on COLA.
It's continued existence, however, strongly proves that not every user is content
with being a totally impotent  distro lackey.  People want to learn how to control
GNU/Linux and LFS gives them the knowledge.
LFS deserves the utmost respect and admiration from ALL GNU/Linux users.
 All hail Linux From Scratch!

I've been building up GNU/Linux since before distro's existed so I have no idea if LFS is good or not personally, but I've had conversations with people who use it and it sounds like it's a very well built, and educational option. I've read a little bit of it just to see what all it had in the instructions and I like the fact that it teaches people what each package is for, so you understand it's significance within the GNU and Linux system which is wonderful. It does do things a little differently then I do it but it's great and I'm glad generations after me will be able to benefit from how we used to do it in the early 90's. Although not everyone back then had access to a Minix machine at home and unless you went to university you didn't have the ability at the time do use GNU/Linux (Most people used university machines to build the source of GNU/Linux). I hope whoever is behind LFS continues to do so for the next few generations at least. And maybe those generations will also take over the process when the LFS people are too old to continue it.
BTW, if you are interested in looking at Minix you can still download it here: http://www.minix3.org/
Also interesting is the history of Minix here: https://wiki.minix3.org/doku.php?id=www:documentation:read-more (3rd section)
