rBowman:
Continuing to work after 70 didn't do anything good for my tax liability.
The pandemic f*cked me up, leaving me jobless & bedridden.
Mother Earth is training me, apparently.
When I stand up, she "beats me down" (i.e. I feel weak & nauseous).
When I lay down, she gives me a "doggy treat" (i.e. it feels good).
So I took my Social Security retirement last year, age 63.
It's not enough to pay my rent, here in Seattle, University district;
so, yesterday, I applied for The "Housing Choice Voucher" program (section 8).
It's a lottery system that favors old, poor people;
I have to "save my place" in line every month (SaveMySpot.ORG).
Even if I get it, I don't know if it will help because,
for most landlords, section 8 paperwork is too burdensome,
& the tenants are irresponsible, to say the least.
