That's from not fixing it for a long time.
I've been bitten by the old "that's not a bug, it's a feature" a couple of
times. While it was obvious the code wasn't doing what was intended a
client had found the bug, exploited it, and liked what it let them do
although there was a slight chance for problems down the road.
