I purposely use micro computers with low voltage CPUs and memory. Even my
laptops of choice (Ultrabooks) are designed for long battery life and low
power consumption. I do it mostly because I like less heat — I figure a
cooler running computer will last longer. I also like dislike the sound of
high speed fans. (And, for my computer usage, I don't need high specs.)
When I don't game, I want the same thing out of my computer. If the
battery life is in the ten-hour range, I'm rather happy.
The UltraBook (Latitude E7450) gets about 7 to 8 hours of battery life. Which
is pretty good for a nine or ten year old computer.
It gets 7 or 8 hours and you didn't change the battery?
