Maybe not. Access went to .accdb in 2007 and I don't know if there were
breaking changes. Esri uses the 2003 .mdb format although they've been
trying to wean people off it for years in favor of their proprietary
FileGDB. I found a bug last month for a site that was converting their
data. Access allowed you to happily compare a string to a double. The
field should have been text but all the values were null anyway so nobody
noticed.
