A last resort.
For a while now I used Linux only for wget, because the GNU for Windows binary of wget was so old. 2008ish.
But I tried it, and it works fine other than it usually requires the --no-check-certificate flag on the websites I'm downloading.
the day can’t be far off before WSL2 becomes a mandatory part
of a Dimdows install.
