I’ve already sung the praises of the Linux-based Steam Deck several
times. There are competing Windows-based products, but they tend to be
a sorry lot. Handheld gaming just cannot be shoehorned into this
“desktop” market that Windows is supposedly so good at.
Never fear, there is a project to improve them: it’s called “Bazzite”,
and it provides a SteamOS-compatible alternative for some of these
Windows-based devices. And it seems to work remarkably well.
