I used to think Catholic Charities was one of the few organizations worth
donations however it now puts a good deal of effort into supporting
illegals. I realize this is consistent with Church teachings but I do not
have to support the agenda.
When I was a kid about once a year there would be a missionary from
Timbuktu trying to raise money but the St. Vincent de Paul and other
charitable donations went to the local community, starting with Catholic
families in need.
