That wasn't a hill to die on for either side. We had C-128 on the ballot,
a constitutional initiative.

There is no joy in Missoula today. They're trying to organize an event at
the U. I'm not sure if it's for grief counseling or if there will be Jim
Jones kool-Aid on tap. The city probably elected some state legislaters.
I'm not sure if Zooey Zephyr ran. Everything else was red. Trump, the
governor, both US reps, the US senator, Secretary of State, Attorney
General, Superintendent of Public Instruction, State Auditor, and so
forth. The closest was the three term Democratic Senator. He conceded when
the challenger broke 53% of the votes. Many of the races had the winner
getting 60%.

The punchline? C-128 passed with a 15% margin statewide, and 20% or more
in the Democratic strongholds. It had plenty of opponents but I have to
conclude even people with MAGA tattooed on their foreheads really don't
care. Nationally all the Republican worries about Trump's soft stance on
abortion certainly didn't affect the vote. The local lefties are still
pondering how that could possibly happen.
I care. I don't believe in killing innocent human beings. There's a federal
law against using a bald or golden eagle's egg to make an omelet. It's
punishable by law to "...take, possess, sell, purchase, barter, offer to
sell, purchase or barter, transport, export or import, at any time or any
manner, any bald eagle ... [or any golden eagle], alive or dead, or any part
(including feathers), nest, or egg thereof." But it's a-ok to chop up an
unborn human child, sell his or her body parts for research or for making
vaccines. We have a pretty damn sick society, if you ask me.
Harris ran on abortion and Trump is a Nazi. She lost. The whiners can't
even say 'b-b-but the popular vote!'

There were two other CIs, ranked voting and a majority to win, not a
plurality. Those both were 'No and hell no'.
