It was important to do years ago, it's useless now. Except if you want
to have issues with some drivers, there is no need to do it. For a
normal desktop I mean. Some usages can require it, but it's very rare. I
wouldn't consider a distro who requires me to compile anything to be
serious. It's a useless waste of time and ressources. On an embedded
device, sure it's important, but not on a desktop.

Says who?  Says YOU?

Can't you read? Of course I'm the one saying that. It's obvious. I'm
surprised to see how it's difficult for you to spot. Unlike you, I have
only one name and I stuck with it.

You are NOT an expert -- not even close.

No need to be an expert to state the obvious.

The above comment
is just your ignorant and confused OPINION.

It's a fact you are to late to know. You are stuck in the past when the
computer science is moving forward very fast. You'll never been able to
catch up.

However, _I_ am the expert, and when _I_ say it is best
to build the kernel then it is best.

An other fact is: you are an expert in making me laugh.

You needed two and a half minutes, to do it, yes. So, when a new kernel
comes out, it comes with new options. Which have defaults. And the only
possibility to update your kernel in two minutes and thirty seconds is
to let the defaults.

Wrong yet again,

What's wrong? The rest of your message proved every word right.

retard.

It's a little be different from idiot, but not that much. You pretend to
have imagination and you are stuck with two or three words to insult me?
What the fuck? Improve please. Don't be so limited. I know that even you
can do better than that.

Using "make oldconfig" I can set all new options in less than
30 seconds.

No way. In less than thirty second you just have the time to read and
accept the default. You can't guess before hand what the new option will
be, so there is no way you can understand and know what the knew options
will be and how will impact your performances. So, I don't believe you
can optimize anything in thirty seconds. Nobody serious about optimization
would believe it. It's either a plain lie or a daydream: choose what you
want, I don't buy it.

You always object because you are JEALOUS.

Jealous of what? You pretend things but never show anything concrete.
You are the funniest guy here. I'm objecting because it's funny and you
never stop making me laugh.

You wish that you could do the same but you cannot.

The same what? To compile my kernel? I did it years ago what it was
mandatory. I did it not so long ago because I wanted to test something,
but in a VM, not in my computer. But it's a useless waste of time and
ressources now, I have better things to do.
