You think installing additional software on Linux is difficult?
Installing and maintaining Linux is much easier and more efficient than
doing so on Windows. One "standard" Windows "upgrade" proves that.

Right. The "mainstream" likes to have a couple "standards" in
computer operating systems. GNU/Linux is for those for whom the
mainstream standards don't work.
