Doing whatever I want in GTA didn't seem to be advancing the story line,
if there is one. In AC if I started a sword fight I'd be the one who got
killed.
Anna Mocikat worked in the games industry before moving to the US and
becoming a cyberpunk author. Her major work is the 'Behind Blue Eyes'
series but she also has a 'Cyber Squad' series. That one is self-
referential since it treats the BBE universe as a video game and the cyber
squad are the QA people testing the game. She works in the terminology and
techniques of game design. It isn't my favorite of her works but the
insider view was interesting.
