   Put network stuff in /etc/network/interfaces ...
   covered everything. The new files/formats don't

   Been rocking Fedora and Manjaro a lot lately. The
   MX tweak on Deb is still fair.

   No, it's a DAMNED GOOD mid-sized distro.
   There's a REASON it's been at/near the very top
   of the distrowatch popularity list for YEARS.

I am still kind of mad at them from when
they claimed that they don't support upgrades because Debian doesn't
(that's an outright lie).

   Um ... upgrades CAN be tricky. Haven't looked lately to
   see if MX has smoothed-out the process. Ubuntu SEEMS to
   be a little better here ... until you TRY it. Generally
   had to keep two or three terminal windows open in order
   to handle all the screw-ups so the 'improved' upgrade
   could even boot at all.
   Mostly, I install MX and just stick with the updates - which
   keep coming - and never do full version upgrades. When it's
   absolutely required I do a full re-install ... all fresh.
