I run the KDE spin of Fedora. There were a few bumps in the road when I
upgraded from 39 to 40 that I assumed were caused by the KDE Plasma /
Wayland integration. That lasted a couple of weeks with a lot of updates.

Now that I think about it, I don't know if Wayland was as much of an issue
in Ubuntu as it was in ZorinOS. Although I'm pretty sure that there was a
reason I changed Ubuntu to X11 instead of Wayland. I haven't done anything
with Fedora in a couple months.
