I think the kernel one is still lacking in features compared to ntfs-3g,
which is the FUSE-based driver.
Some people automatically assume that a kernel-based driver is going to
offer better performance than one that runs in user space. But I can’t see
big enterprise shops, moving heavily into Linux, continuing to run
mission-critical workloads on NTFS volumes, let’s face it.
